This is how your engines are built.
First, we draw up the build sheet listing the way your engine will be built to suit your needs and so you don’t pay for parts you don’t need for your Build with all parts supplied being genuine DCEC Cummins except the air conditioner compressor and Prestolite 150 Amp alternator.
· Glabe engineers all trained by DCEC Cummins will make up a BOM (Bill Of Materials) and send it to the DCEC Cummins factory warehouse
· Cummins then supplies a complete Genuine brand-new Long block from valve covers to oil pan and all the bolt-on parts listed in the BOM for your engines build.
· 60 pound valve springs are installed for the 6BT and 4BT to reduce valve float at high RPM and under exhaust braking if fitted
· After the engine is built and tested on the Glabe factory floor it is sent to the DCEC Cummins Dyno Labs
· Your engine is run at varying loads and speeds while checking temperatures and pressures of oil, coolant, intake air, exhaust and external block temps and vibration levels.
· After the tests are complete your engine has its main specs recorded at set parameters to suit each engine type, these are what you see on the Dyno report
· At each stage in the build process your engine is inspected for Quality assurance
After the Dyno tests your engine is stripped of any parts not required on your Build sheet, for most conversion projects the SAE3 flywheel, Housing, and starter are not required, these you will replace with an adaptor kit to suit your transmission.
After painting your engine is ready to ship to your closest container port.
